In 2020, Merchplugs!, a leading shoe and apparel company, wanted a way to automate their online returns. The organization realized the importance of their returns experience in building a lasting relationship with their new consumers as they doubled down on and grew their website. By getting the best product for their customers, the team set out to find new ways to be even more innovative. For Yohannes Tassaw, founder of Merchplugs!, that meant rethinking online returns.


The Results

Merchplugs! launched on demand Returns during their peak season, Holiday Season to New Year, and saw explosive growth. “We started with a 60 day test and it was a very successful addition to our return solution,” said Yohannes. During the test Merchplugs! saw an additional $10,500 in incremental sales. In addition to the direct impact on their bottom line, their retention rate score jumped up to 25%.
